Senior Data Engineer - Your role:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure, working at the intersection of data engineering and AI/ML. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, and product teams to ensure data is reliable, high-quality, and easily accessible for business and product needs.

Your responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.

• Work with databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Cosmo DB, etc.) and ORM tools, ensuring high performance and maintainability.

• Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, authentication methods (OAuth, tokens) for data ingestion.

• Maintain and enhance existing data ingestion pipelines for AI, ML, and analytics services, and build & optimize new data engineering pipelines.

• Build and manage data warehouses, data lakes, and real-time data processing systems.

• Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance, cost, and scalability.

• Implement and enforce data quality, governance, and security best practices.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data pipelines to ensure high availability and reliability.

• Document data flows, processes, and architecture for team transparency and onboarding.

• Stay up to date with emerging tools and best practices in data engineering.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help implement and deploy GenAI and Machine Learning-based product features.

• Collaborate in an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years of experience designing, developing and supporting customer-facing analytics /reporting products.

• Proficiency in SQL Java.

• A  good understanding of cloud technologies, particularly AWS services.

• Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools.

• Knowledge of data warehousing and database design.

• Familiarity with distributed data processing technologies (ELT/ETL).

• Strong understanding of data modeling.

• Fluency in written and spoken English with excellent communication skills.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.

• Experience with CI/CD for data workflows and containerization.

• Exposure to streaming and/or event-driven architecture.

• Understanding data privacy and compliance frameworks.

• Experience with Azure.
