About SoftCo

SoftCo is an AI-native Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Accounts Payable (AP) automation company built for complex organisations. In a market full of rigid templates and “plug-and-play” promises, our approach is different. We tailor automation around the organisation, not the organisation around the software.

For over 35 years, we’ve helped finance teams move from reactive, manual processes to controlled, scalable and strategic P2P operations. Our AI-native platform strengthens accuracy, visibility and insight, but it’s our delivery expertise that ensures it works in the real world.

Our success at a glance:

  • 1M+ users worldwide

  • Trusted by organisations including Volkswagen, Patagonia, Primark, Logitech and all 80 departments of the Finnish Government

  • Global reach with offices in the US, Finland, UK, Kosovo and Ireland

  • A reputation for owning where precision engineering meets long-term partnership

Join us as Senior Product Designer and help shape the future of intelligent finance operations.

Senior Product Designer – Your role

SoftCo is continuing to scale as demand for intelligent finance automation grows globally. In this role, you will take ownership of the user experience for one or more product areas, working closely with Product Managers and Engineers to translate complex requirements into intuitive, accessible solutions. By representing the voice of the user throughout the product development process, you will help ensure SoftCo delivers product experiences that are clear, efficient and effective for the organisations that rely on our platform.

Your responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end UX for one or more product areas - from discovery and concepting through delivery, Design QA, and iteration after release.

  • Be the voice of the user in product conversations: uncover needs, validate assumptions, and bring evidence into decisions.

  • Translate complex concepts and requirements into intuitive, accessible flows and interfaces.

  • Create and iterate on sketches, task flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.

  • Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to define problems, collaborate on solution design and make smart trade-offs.

  • Run (or collaborate closely on) user research and usability testing; synthesize insights into actionable direction.

  • Contribute to and evolve our design system, interaction patterns, and content guidelines to create a consistent experience.

  • Participate in critiques and share your expertise to influence others - raising the quality bar through clear feedback and design rationale that can encourage a user centered mentality beyond the design team.

Your profile

We care about impact, solving problems, and how you work with others. You bring several years of experience shipping digital products and can show it through your portfolio. In addition, you also have:

  • A track record of shipping complex product experiences (ideally in enterprise/B2B) and improving them based on real user feedback.

  • Strong interaction design and product thinking - you care about how things work, not just how they look.

  • Thinks end-to-end and big picture before creating slices of work to guide how we get there.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and changing direction; you can create structure without needing heavy process.

  • Ability to balance speed and detail - knowing when to move quickly and when to obsess over the finer details

  • Practical user advocacy: you use research, testing, and data to make sure we're solving the right problems.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills; you can tell a compelling story and influence stakeholders.

  • Technical fluency to work effectively with engineers and to prototype or specify interactions clearly (Figma and beyond).

  • Ownership mindset and autonomy - you don't wait to be told what to do; you see what needs to happen and drive it.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a startup or growth-stage environment.

  • Experience building or scaling design systems and component libraries.

  • Strong accessibility / inclusive design practice.

  • Service design or end-to-end journey experience across multiple products.

  • Experience with Claude Code or similar AI tools to power your workflow.

What We Offer

  • Competitive remuneration and performance-based bonus

  • Company-paid health insurance, pension and life assurance

  • Hybrid Working Model (2 days per week in office following onboarding period)

  • On-site gym with company-funded fitness classes (Dublin office)

  • Long service incentive awards and employee referral programme

  • Structured learning and development investment

Our structure gives you real ownership and direct exposure to senior leadership. Progression is based on capability, not hierarchy.
